Web go to your steam install folder (steamapps/users/common/elden ring/game) rename start_protected_game.exe to something else (could be anything, you just want to be able to change it back). Web the only thing i've seen that works (but unfortunately not permanently) is go to the app setting on your windows search bar, type back 4 blood and go to app settings, and click repair. (i added _original to the end of the file name.) make a copy of elden_ring.exe. Web under normal circumstances, after clicking to start the game, start_protected_game will appear, and then enter the game. Rename the copy of “eldenring.exe” to “start_protected_game.exe” 5. I can't enter the game after start_protected_game appears here. Rename start_protected_game.exe to something else.
