Ago it seems that fat ps2s, especially early ones, have some really bad cd lasers, meaning no blue disc games or ps1 games. Apr 30, 2003 nicliew, apr 30, 2003 #1 benv guest i dug around and found this : Web cd games (blue disc) always had a hard time reading on my fat models. They cd or compact disc on them like crashspyro123 has stated earlier in the thread. Make sure there are no oily or dirty smudges on the disc. Web ummm does anyone have a list of all the blue disc/disk games (the colour on the back of a playstation 2 game (the cd) will either be purple/blue or silver) on playstation 2? Time of release has nothing to do with it, just size of game. Launch games were on dvd as well, and later games still had some cd releases if they were under 700 mb. The game is available on playstation 2, playstation 3, playstation portable, wii, nintendo ds, xbox 360, and pc. Midnight_son september 13, 2006, 4:09am #3 my slimline ps2 will read them just fine, but it is noticably noisier while doing so.
Web games made around the launch of the ps2 were on blue discs. I may have to try several times, but eventually i can get it to scan my blue discs. Some ps2 drives are just borked from age or what have you and can’t read cds anymore. The game is available on playstation 2, playstation 3, playstation portable, wii, nintendo ds, xbox 360, and pc. All of the blue disc games are the games that don't say dvd on the box. Time of release has nothing to do with it, just size of game. Web blue discs have compact disc written on the back of the case, but i don't think there's a list of all of these games. Web cd games (blue disc) always had a hard time reading on my fat models. Web games made around the launch of the ps2 were on blue discs. There’s nothing inherently flaky about blue discs.
